Source code and documentation distributed in the start.chat repository are available under the MIT License unless a file or directory states different terms. Bundled fonts and vendored components retain their original licenses as listed in the repository NOTICE file.
The MIT License permits use, copying, modification, and redistribution under its terms. It does not grant permission to use the start.chat or Tamagui names, logos, or trademarks to identify or endorse another product.
The hosted start.chat service is available under our Terms of Service. Using the hosted service does not change the source license or grant access to hosted infrastructure, private configuration, provider accounts, or service credentials.
The hosted service, the software that operates it, and the content you place in it have different rights:
Source availability and production self-hosting support are separate. The repository currently supports a native local development instance for trusted machines. It does not yet provide a supported internet-facing production self-host distribution. Read the repository self-hosting status before exposing an instance to a network.
Report product issues through our support page and source bugs through the repository issue tracker.
